CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
****VINATGE THEME DRAG CAR****Purchased from the original owner after sitting in storage for over 37 years. This is original patina paint and shows extremely well for the year, a few battle scars but minimal. The body is solid and rust free, even the frame has very light patina, but solid throughout. A professional wet sanding and final buff enhanced the exterior with light primer patina showing on fender edges. Interior floors were painted/resealed, new wool mat, carpet and seat were redone . No odors or evidence of rodents. The idea of the vehicle, was to convert into a vintage drag car from the 1960's. A true business coupe with no-back seat makes it a contender when adding a new hi-perf powerplant but original 6 cylinder still remains with 3 speed column shift. A split manifold with dual rear exiting exhaust sounds very mellow, added exhaust cutouts with flame thrower ignitors are there for looks. To better the race stance we added sport tuned shocks and re-arched springs connected to Lakewood Chrome Traction Bars, EELCO fuel tank with pressure primer pump installed in console, Mickey Thompson drag slicks and Firestone pie crust bias look the part and improve the rake. Everything is period correct and car turns heads everywhere. Cruises very well and easy to drive.Driveline - Original driveline operates great, however, during high revs the engine will show signs of oil burning. My intent was to put a mid 60's Hemi in the vehicle. All new brakes and master cylinder last month stop the car well. All new 6 volt tractory battery to crank the engine with ease.Interior - Misc hot rod SW gauges , Sun Football Tach, Simpson Race Belt with removable Roll Bar, worn leather gloves, Heitage Maduro leatherette covers made to fit seats on original frames. Headliner was removed but the headliner bars are intact and repainted. All glass shows well, two small rock pings on main windshields but no spider cracks. Doors and trunk have new rubber gaskets, wiring and electrical are in good working order, new dimmer switch included in sale as one high beam seems to flicker. Gauges all function but not sure of accuracy. Two extra boxes of parts/rims go will sale : trim moldings, handles, chrome grill teeth, inside visors, clean titleA set of Weld Drag Lite Wheels are included in sale. 4 rims/ 8" and 4" wide wheels for true race look.Super cool vintage car !
