CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER | |

This is a 1971 Mercedes-Benz 250C in ivory over blue MB-Tex and a contrasting blue roof. It has a 2.8L inline six with dual Weber carburetors and a 4-speed auto transmission. The 250C is from the W114 generation (the original E-Class), and only 67,000 coupes were produced compared to 2 million sedans, so this is a fairly rare car. The pillarless coupe design is classic. This is a "pre-facelift" car so it has the beautiful slim bumpers and non-finned taillights. This car has euro headlights, a sunroof, and the desirable manual windows, as well as beautiful wood on the dash. It has a rare ivory steering wheel and shift knob, as well as blue cocoa mats. The grille badges are included as well. It also has a fully restored Washington collector plate with a 1971 registration sticker.I purchased this 250C in 2015 from a gentleman in California. It was restored around 2008 by its owner in Arizona at a cost of over $40,000, including substantial mechanical work. Service records and receipts from the restoration are included, as well as the original manuals and brochures. The car has aged well since then, but it would benefit from a new restoration to bring it to its full glory.I was going to fully restore this car but other projects got in the way. I've put very few miles on it, mostly taking it to car shows, and done a few small things, like fluid changes and replacing hoses. Buy this car and show it in events next year. Clear title in hand. |
