Up for sale is an awesome white over red 1966 Corvair convertible. Having spent it's entire life in Kentucky and Texas, this car is very solid and rot free. Equipped with the super reliable 95HP engine mated to a Powerglide automatic transmission. Starts right up. Idles nice and goes into gear. Drives down the road nicely and performs well. That being said, this car will need some attention to bring to the next level. Having been subjected to an inadequate repaint at some point, this car deserves to be painted with a fresh coat of it's original Ermine White. The paint is thin in many spots, flaking and cracking causing some surface rust to form. Again, there is zero rot through anywhere on this car. This will be an easy restoration or drive as is. I guess you could call this car a 20 footer. Mechanically the muffler is an incorrect aftermarket one but we are including a new, Clark's reproduction muffler in the sale and the fluids and tune-up parts could use a refresh. There are NO OIL LEAKS at the time of this posting. Amazing, I know! We purchased this car to bring to the next level as it so desperately deserves however there are too many cars in the garage so we've decided to let this one go to the next owner to sort out. This car is an incredible opportunity to easily restore and double or triple it's value. Where else will you find a 1960's driveable convertible that's rot free for under $6K? These cars are finally coming into their own and the values, especially for the late model convertibles are rising. You can't go wrong. Don't waste your time and money restoring a rot box as many convertibles out there are. This is an easy resto. I have many more pics to share and will answer all questions promptly. Those with zero feedback please contact me before bidding or the offer will be declined. Also, please check with your significant other to make sure the money is in the bank before bidding. It's expensive to re-list these things. Thank you and good luck! |
