Classic Volvo wagon S122. Remodeled beautifully! Im the 3rd owner of the car that was born in 1968. It's been the love of my life for 9 years. He runs great and was my everyday car for years until I bought a modern Volvo last year. Im moving out of the country and very sadly can not take him with me. No history of any wrecks. B-18 1800 CC engine. Mileage odometer hasn't worked since I've had the car so I can't say how many miles it has. It's a 4-speed manual, has new brakes, new COLD AC, removable custom made roof rack, and bluetooth stereo. Interior has been redone including seats, headliner, dash, and front floor board rubber guard, and full body paint (color is its original dark-almost black- forrest Green.) The bottom seat cover of back seat is the last that needs replacing (back part is new). Back seat folds down flat so you can load more stuff then you will believe possible. The seats and more for these vintage cars are still available through Volvo. I replaced the front side vent windows which are amazing when you aim the air towards you and your passenger. (Not sure why cars stopped putting these windows in because they are game changers.) It's missing the rim of one of the hubcaps but should be easy to replace (I have the main middle part of hubcap with Volvo logo.)You can't drive this one day without someone honking, waving, or commenting how lovely he is. I always say, he has more friends than me. You can load more stuff in it than a pick-up truck but drives like a small car. The steering in these old Volvos are incredible if you haven't experienced before and can easily do a U-turn in a small street where my fiat could not. Windows all the way around makes this the most visible car Ive ever been in with no blind spots. There is some rust in floor board of back seat because rain comes in during a down pour. Some fresh window weather stripping throughout would fix that. My Volvo mechanic would also be happy to answer any questions that I can't answer since he has worked on him since I bought him 9 years ago. I also have the receipts from the work I put into it over the years. Im still coming to terms of letting him go but will be happy for him to land in a new good home where he is driven frequently. |
