I'm selling my 1976 Chevrolet K10 short bed pickup truck. It has the factory 350ci V-8 engine with the desirable factory SM 465 4 speed manual transmission. It is a factory 4x4 truck with the bulletproof New Process 205 transfer case. This truck starts, runs, and stops great. It has current Illinois registration and a clean and clear Illinois title in my name. You can drive this truck home! The truck has 137,604 original miles and is an original factory black truck. It was repainted once and the paint is in good condition with a nice patina. There are some minor flaws in the paint, and some minor scratches, fading, dings, and paint loss, but overall the truck is very presentable. It has the very desirable step side bed. This is a factory 350 V-8 with 4-barrel carb truck. It runs very well, and does not smoke, burn oil, or knock. The motor has excellent oil pressure. It pulls strong and has great power. It starts easily and idles very smoothly. I recently gave it a full tune up, with new spark plugs, plug wires, coil, distributor cap, and rotor. The rims are original Chevy rust-free Chevy truck rallye rims that have been restored. They had excellent bead areas and no rim damage. All four 31" Firestone Destination A/T tires are brand new, with less than 100 miles on them. I purchased them from my local Firestone dealer in May of 2020 and had them professionally installed there. The center caps and trim rings are original Chevy pieces and in great condition. I have over $1,000 invested in the rims and tires alone! The interior is in great shape with many brand new parts installed. I did recently replace the dashboard, both door panels, the gage surround panel, and the gage lenses with brand new parts. The floor mat and pedal covers are also brand new parts. I also recently replaced the vent window rubber seals, and all of the glass channel rubber. I have over $3,000 in receipts for parts purchased for the truck this year alone! The frame is very solid and there is no evidence of accident damage to the frame. There are no visible rust holes or cracks in the frame. The body is also very solid. The truck came off of a farm in Kansas, and it doesn't have the typical Midwestern truck rust issues. The truck starts, stops, rides, and steers great. The 4wd and clutch work as they should. The trans shifts smoothly. The brakes stop well and don't pull.Known problems: There are no speakers for the radio. I had installed original Chevy truck kick panels, and didn't want to cut holes in them for speakers since they were so nice. The wood in the bed floor should be replaced at some point since it's worn and beat up.You are welcome to inspect the truck. It's a very nice truck that is not perfect, but will make an excellent driver. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. The truck is located in zip code 60091 in Illinois. You are buying the car as-is with no warranty expressed or implied. It's a 44 year old truck, and it's not perfect, so please bid responsibly!A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due within 48 hours of auction end. The balance is due within 7 days of auction end. I can store the truck at not cost for up to thirty days after auction end. |
