This is a '67 Corvair 500 coupe I started on a few years ago but due to circumstances was unable to finish. I was building it for myself. It is a partially finished restoration. I have thousands of dollars in it as far as parts and a ton of my labor. Here's your chance to profit off of my loss! Here's some of what's been done:The previous owner was a Corvair freak and had restored many of them. On this car he had already painted the underside of the floors with some sort of shiny epoxy paint.Front suspension rebuilt- new ball joints, bushings, etc. Subframe was POR 15'd, control arms painted, etc. New springs and shocks. Springs were cut by one coil to lower it.Rear suspension inspected ( I had several to choose from) and fit to body. The "horse collar" and rear control arms painted. New rear springs and shocks fitted. Springs have not yet been cut. I was waiting to check the ride height once the engine was in. Rear hubs installed, new u joints on half shafts, but half shafts have not been installed. I also have new rear trans mounts - not yet installed.I have new and rebuilt wheel cylinders (installed) for front and rear but I don't recall which are which. New brake hoses front and rear and a new two - line master cylinder - not yet installed.Engine: Currently on an engine stand which will come with the car. Upper end rebuilt. New Clarks pistons and rings. New rod bearings. Clarks gaskets and the proper main bearing seals fitted. Oil cooler flushed completely before installation. Lifters were carefully inspected, and coated thoroughly with cam lube when refitted. Spun up the oil pump to pre-lube the bottom end. Cylinder heads de-flashed. New viton valve seals. New viton pushrod tube seals. New gaskets against the heads. In fact, every gasket in the engine was replaced. Exhaust studs replaced. All engine tin bead blasted, and repainted semi gloss black.Throttle linkage replaced with Clarks upgraded parts. Carburetors inspected, and installed with fresh gaskets.I have a servicable powerglide for it.This was a bench seat car, but the interior panels were replaced with blue Monza panels. It will, of course, need a carpet set.I have 95% of what is needed to finish it. No heater flex tubing, missing the rear center pan cover. I started to reseal the gas tank, but it might be better just to replace it. I never bought a muffler or tail pipe. Comes with original owner's manual, Protect-O-Plate, and one set of keys.Currently, it has 15 inch Jaguar XJS wheels.I have probably forgotten some details since it's been a couple of years since I stopped working on it.
