| Porsche 912 Short WheelbaseThe car has been sitting in a garage since 1983. It is rust free. The trunk is all original and is rust free, including under the battery tray. Rocker & jack spot are solid. Floor pan straight & clean.Negligible amount of surface rust on suspension cover. Window trim is perfect. Interior is in excellent condition: Small crack in dash or the door as well as the storage pocket panels in the doors are slightly loose.The chrome wheels have a few small spots where the chrome is less visible; tires are junk & the hub caps are not perfect.Brakes have good pedal pressure; engine is all original with original air cleaners. The car started by bypassing the fuel tank. I did not want to pull bad fuel in to the carbs. It fired up for about 30 seconds then quit running. Now the starter doesn't turn it over-you can turn it over by hand.Handles, door latches, & hardware are in excellent condition.This car was repainted in the early 1980s from red to yellow: no sand marks or paint on the trim.Downsides:The color change, interior smells,and the car needs the bumper trim (see photos of original trim).Being rust free and having the short wheelbase means this car is rare and super desirable. | |
