Dusty Cars LLC 1965 Jaguar E-type 4.2 liter Series 1 Roadster Vehicle Information Video Description 1965 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Roadster: "Survivor"; One owner since new; Original factory Opalescent Dark Green paint; 100% original metal; Garaged since new; All numbers match; Excellent body gaps; Original floor metal and undercoating; Excellent compression and oil pressure; 57K original miles. Sold new in Portland Oregon by a local law enforcement official and kept in the same garage. It was parked in the late 1980's and not driven since then. We rebuilt the carburetors and changed the fluids and it started right up, excellent oil pressure and compression, runs evenly on all cylinders; all other mechanical systems need to be checked prior to driving. New tires. Beautiful original color combination: Opalescent Dark Green with Suede Green interior. Superb car for 100 pt restoration or to be kept as a original patina survivor. However, upon closer inspection this car has received a paint job, maybe during the 1970's or 1980's (it's been parked since 1990). I believe it is painted British Racing Green instead of the Opalescent Dark Green, which is a metallic. The Opalescent Dark Green can be seen clearly in the trunk and areas of the jams and the firewall, it is a darker color than the overall car. I apologize for the confusion, the original owner's wife most likely forgot about the paint job the car received 40 years ago or so.
