CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
This is a 1941 Packard 110 4 door Touring Sedan. This car is original and unrestored. It has a flathead 6 engine and a 3 speed column shift transmission. It has a clean and clear title. This is a car that needs everything but isn’t like everything else at car shows. It does run and drive quite well considering it’s an unrestored 79 year old car.I can trace the history of it back to 1982 when it was purchased at an auction and the paperwork claims it had 11,000 original miles. It was purchased at this auction as a father and sons project but father quickly learned that sons were more interested in football and girls so it went into the barn and sat there for 35 years until I got it in 2017 with 11,424 miles. I gave it a full tune up, rebuilt the brakes, rebuilt the fuel system, put new tires on, and got it running. I drove it to a few car shows for about a year before my schedule took over causing it to get parked. Fast forward to June 2020 and I put a new battery in it, fixed a fuel leak and got it driving again for a couple last drives in it. It can be driven as is for the pulled out of a barn look or it would make a killer street rod with some work. The interior is pretty shot but blankets cover it up pretty well. I can’t say for sure the miles are actual as the speedometer is frozen and snapped the cable. I ran a new cable just haven’t fixed the speedometer yet. But it's unmolested and pretty solid. There is a rust hole right at the heel of the drivers right foot in the floorboard. And I think the passenger rear fender well as some rust too from the broken window. As you can see, the paint is flaking off on the hood and roof and is chipped all over. This is a car that looks real good in pictures and from far away and not so much close up but it’s also an unrestored survivor barn find 79 year old car.Overall it’s a solid car that’s fun to drive, that isn’t like everything else you see and it gets a lot of attention wherever you take it. I’m sure I’m forgetting something as I’d like to keep it but I hate seeing it getting neglected. Time for an owner with the resources to take it to the next level. Thank you.
