1968 Pontiac GTO, this is a real GTO with a 242 vin number. It has the matching number "WT" 400 engine and Muncie 4 speed transmission. It is "N" code Flambeau Burgundy, Black Vinyl roof. "225" code Red Bucket Seat interior. All colors are just as shown on the Data Plate. Equipped with Hideaway Headlights, Rally Dash Gauges with Tachometer, Power Steering & 4:33 Limited slip Differential. This GTO sat for many years and is a time capsule of the 70's. It was taken out of storage in the mid 90's and repainted it's original color and went back into storage. It still has the direct bolt on Crager SS wheels , Tiger paw G 60 tires and air shocks from the 70's. The owner no longer had storage and traded it in on another vehicle. He did service the brakes and change the fluids first. I replaced the clutch, fuel pump and mufflers. I drained the tank and had the Quadrajet carb rebuilt. It runs and drives very good. The born with WT 400 runs good and strong. It has a Ram Air Cam with a mild lump to it. The Born with Muncie 4 speed shifts smooth and accurate. Solid feeling car without rattles.Some recent upgrades are: new rear bumper, rocker moldings, emblems, door handles & new carpets. The Hidden headlights open but have to be manually closed. Not all the dash gauges work. As with any car that has been in storage for this long there are minor issues that will need to be addressed. But it runs strong and shifts smooth. It looks like original body panels and floors with repairs. The paint has held up well. Trunk looks to have been replaced. Nice and solid frame. This car is in Connecticut and can be seen by appointment. It is sold with a Bill of sale. Connecticut does not issue titles to vehicles more than 25 years old.
