1956 Mercury Monterey 2Door hard top.I believe it to be all there minus a few odds and ends. There are extra parts in the trunk. I purchased as a project car but went found a convertible shortly after so this one has to go! Pictures tell the story of the body. It's fairly solid with minimal rust but does have dings and dents. Roof and top panels have fantastic patina! Interior is complete with not the original bench seat in front. The back seat is in the trunk not Installed. Glass is mostly good except the passenger side front - See pictures for more details. I believe it to be the original drivetrain but have not tried to get it running. Mileage is unknown. It shifts into neutral and rolls very easily for such a big car. Other than changes mentioned this car is totally original, pretty good condition- these mercurys are extremely hard to find this complete. That being said, this is a complete, fairly clean, mostley straight Coupe. It won’t have you cleaning up piles of leaves, grass , ect Most of these are either basket cases or already finished. This is a unique opportunity to get one of the last of these coupes that you can finish your way - do a few more things and drive it as is, or take it apart and build the car of your dreams. Any builder will tell you that you’re way ahead to start with a clean body, and this is certainly a special find in that regard. This is as cheap as you’re going to get into one of these: right year, right body, right drive train, right conditionIt is also for sale locally.
