CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Rare, one of a kind, custom Street Legal Indy Car / Formula One Replica. Originally designed, blueprinted, and built by a Chrysler engineer. The car has been completely reimagined and has countless customizations. Previous owner was a professional athlete and spared no expense to make this a daily driver that a much larger, taller framed person can easily drive, so if you have ever wanted to own an indy car and fly down the highway (or track) but are of larger build, this may be a good fit. Built on a custom tubular steel frame, just like a racecar, yet has all of the necessary lights, brakes, and turn signals to be street legal. Titled, licensed, and insured in Florida as a custom assembled vehicle. It is unlike anything else on the road! It has a custom chrome / stainless steel wrap over the black exterior (see previous photos) and interior. It gets attention like no other vehicle ever and is a blast to drive. If you have never driven an open wheel mid-engine racecar, you don't know what you are missing, it is exhilarating! Just forewarning - expect many photos, attention, and all sorts of questions - or just hit the oversized gas pedal and quickly social distance yourself!Has well over $100,000 invested in it.Upon climbing into the cockpit, the lucky driver can attach the racing harness at desired points and hit the push button ignition, hear the roar of the racing exhaust, and ratchet the manual-automatic transmission into desired setting upon take off.Custom air shocks that raise the front over 10 inches and can go over any speed bump without issue, unlike most low sports cars. It’s handy on-board controlls allows for quick lowering and raising while on the go. This helps a tremendous amount and also allows for a smooth ride.Small racing steering wheel, removable (quick release), like the real deal. Great for allowing extra room when entering or exiting the vehicle and for the racecar handling feel. Could also serve as an extra theft deterrent.Small luggage compartment (with lock) on the side to fit a medium suitcase or for grocery runs. Upgraded braking system as well, by Wilwood.Racing rims, good tires, easy to find- unlike most racecars. It is very easy to drive and safe, with the built in cage / roll bar. I would recommend wearing a helmet or protective sunglasses when driving on the highway, as a small rock or pebble can definitely injure a driver. But around town or on short trips a helmet is not necessary at all and it is a blast to enjoy the wind in your face as you accelerate like never before. Sometimes it is fun to wear a helmet to simply avoid the attention and give it the full racecar effect. Many of the newer helmets such as the Skully, have the smart phone set up, heads up display, rear camera, virtual speedometer, GPS, in coming call commands, speaker phone, stereo, and much more; this is much recommended for safety and comfort. Can be also used for track day racing, or simply drive your racecar to the track. I enjoyed driving it at safe speeds on the highway and for short trips all over Florida. It is a blast to drive around town. But the most fun was driving it at a private airport where you can really open it up and see how a racecar handles. The power to weight ratio is the key factor. This car has a power to weight ratio of an ultra exotic car such as the Lamborghini, Bugatti, Ferrari, or McLaren. It is extremely light and aerodynamic. The 0-60 times you can achieve are unlike anything else, the 0-100-0 are also exhilarating. Originally it had a V6 Dodge / Chrysler powerplant with automatic transaxle. It was fast, but I wanted to make it even more reliable and ultra responsive. So it currently has a newer 3.0 Vtech V6 Honda engine and automatic transaxle BEING INSTALLED. My goal has been to make it a daily driver that requires virtually no maintenance. It is at a stage where you could change the power plant out for a LS1 Corvette engine, Hemi, or go really crazy with an electric Tesla setup. My mechanic is an expert car builder and has recommended the Honda V6 with a few upgrades as this is the most cost efficient, reliable, and easy to service option. He has also said that if you add any more power than the just under 300 horsepower set up, it may be a waste as the car is so light that it will just spin the tires constantly. I take his expert advise as he has built a few ultra exotic mid engine cars and knows best. The car is priced as is, where is, my loss is your gain. The buyer is welcome to make any modifications he or she likes with my private car builder located in the Clearwater, FL area or take as is, along with the Honda powerplant. The estimated cost to get it rolling with the V6 Honda set up is minimal as most work has been done already. The endless customizations that could be done with this open wheeler is truly up to one's imagination. If you are serious buyer please let me know. I can be reached at 813..992--0788 Thank you.
