CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
This 1971 Ford Ranchero is in great mechanical condition. I have full notes from the previous owner on his 2012 engine refurbishment, and under my ownership the transmission was professionally rebuilt. I've never had a problem getting it started, and it runs and drives well. Before my purchase of the car two years ago, it spent its life in Arizona, so the amount of rust is limited. With the exception of a now bondo-repaired rust-through in the floor panels behind the seats (photo 14), all the rust is superficial. The exterior of the car is admittedly rough around the edges, but the majority of the paint is original (repainted passenger side panels photo 9). A past owner attempted to fix some tailgate damage with bondo, but it was never painted over. I refurbished the interior with model-specific parts from Dearborn Classics after repairing and repainting the floorboards. The only notable issues with the car I've found in my 2 years of ownership are a leak in the back right brake drum and a squeaky front suspension. I am selling the car because at this point, I really just have too much stuff and not enough time or space to take care of it all! I hope the next owner will enjoy this Ranchero much more than I ever had the chance to. Photos of interest: 3,4,5,7- Some minor paint chips and surface rust 6- This shows the tailgate damage and repair job 11- The air-ride rear shocks were put in by a previous owner 12- The rebuilt transmission has less than 2,000 miles on it 14- This is where the floor had rusted through, but has since been "bondo-ed" and repainted 18- Aftermarket radio has been disconnected but not removed. The aftermarket oil pressure gauge is still functionalWhen purchased, the vehicle had a dealer-install A/C unit and a rebuilt compressor. I removed it all to re-carpet the interior and am selling it separately. Contact me if interested. I also have a folder containing mine and the last owner's notes and invoices.
