You're looking at an incredibly well cared for 1967 Land Cruiser FJ40.I bought this last year from a mechanic friend who was working to get out of debt. He loved this 4x4 and used it as his follow-along vehicle behind his motorhome (tow bar included in the sale) when he went to the mountains. It was originally red with a white roof, and I have no idea why he painted it camo, but my plan was to restore it to red before the craziness of 2020 forced me to change my plans. He preferred the soft top (also included, see photo), but I put the hard top on with the plan to replace the window seals. I got the rear corners done. (Side windows are obviously included.) He installed much improved front seats, making for quite a comfortable ride. The engine fires up right away and sounds terrific. He stayed on top of the little things, so the knobs, switches, lights (including the dome light) all work. A box of extra parts is included. This is a really fun rig to drive. It has the three-on-the-tree, three-speed transmission, the engine is tight and reliable, and it goes anywhere on a great set of BF Goodrich All Terrain TA radials. It's surprisingly fun to drive on pavement, but it SHINES on the dirt. The few times I've had it into the mountains, it's cruised along without any issues. I would be comfortable driving this anywhere. This is a fantastic vehicle and a true classic. NOTE: I put 50,000 as the mileage because it was required, but I don't know the true mileage. The speedometer/odometer has been changed out, so the mileage showing is not accurate. |
