The interior has also just been restored including new paint, upholstery, carpet, headliner, dyed door panels, gauge bezel, etc. The Pontiac 350 cubic inch High engine has been freshly tuned, runs great, and sounds amazing through a new dual exhaust system. The car runs great, sounds tough, and and drives nicely with Power Steering and Power Brakes. The suspension, brakes, steering, cooling, fuel, and electrical systems have all been inspected and are in great shape. Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc. The body is extremely straight, and there was no rust to be found. Every piece of exterior trim and the entire interior was removed prior to commencing the body work. The car has been treated to a very high-end two-stage base/clear paint job in the factory-original Carousel Red color. All the panels were painted off the car, and then assembled with care for a full factory-like appearance. The exterior trim was then installed, including new wheel lip moldings, new windshield, new window felts and wipers and felts, new door, roof, and trunk weatherstrip, etc. Every piece of soft trim is new. The grills and emblems are restored, the existing trim cleaned; the car looks outstanding. The interior was stripped, prepared, and fully repainted, including the dash, doors, door jambs, etc. The dash filler panels and gauge bezel has been restored, as have the steering column, including a new reproduction Rosewood steering wheel. The pedal assembly has been cleaned and painted, new pedal pads installed, a new carpet kit, new seat upholstery, new headliner, new package tray, restored door panels and arm rests, new door sill plates, and restored sun visors installed. The rear view mirror has been restored, and a three-gauge auxiliary cluster installed below the dash, centered on the console. The gauge cluster was cleaned, the clear lens polished, and more. Mechanically, the car is in turn-key running and driving condition, with sound brakes, and new KYB gas shocks. The wheels are factory steel units restored with matching color-keyed paint, and uber-rare period-correct Pontiac dog dish hub caps, giving the Firebird a "COPO" look, rarely seen on a Firebird. The BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires are BRAND NEW, zero miles. This is a factory AC car, with the AC air box and some accessories still present, while the compressor, brackets, and some hoses have previously been removed.. While not a true “Concourse” restoration, this is an xtremely nice car and presents very nicely. Not flawless, but very nice; this car is going to make someone very happy! Clear title in hand, matches VIN exactly for export, inspection, etc. While every effort has been made to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, it is in fact a 51-year-old classic vehicle, and therefore being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. These classics are somewhat primitive by today’s standards. While sound, expect to find minor issues associated with a vehicle of this age and era. Please be ready to make payment in full within 3 days of auction’s end via cash, deposit into my Bank of America account, or bank wire transfer.Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; I own a classic car restoration shop and can recommend a reliable and affordable broker who I have used many times... ultimately the choice must be yours alone.I reserve the right to end my auction early, as I have the vehicle advertised locally as well. I would potentially be willing to end my auction early to you as high bidder for the right offer and prompt payment.
