| Up for auction is an outstanding 1961 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia coupe. This iconic classic is in fabulous condition and ready to drive anywhere. Has been in Southern California since day one and has only had three owners. The floor pans are flawless with no rust, as is the rest of the sheet metal. The original numbers matching 1200cc motor is included with the sale. The body and chassis number match and should the new owner want to rebuild and re-install the original 1200cc numbers matching motor, that can be done. Current mechanical work includes: new brakes, new battery, tune-up, Weber high performance carburetor, external oil filter, external oil fan, 1835cc high performance motor, new clutch, new fuel pump, new Firestone spare, and much more. This fun little car gets great gas mileage and runs perfectly. Everything works as it should including the interior light, sun visors, headlights, dash lights, horn, brake lights, turn signals, generator light and oil light. Was just featured in the soon to be released feature thriller 8 Days To Hell, starring Eric Roberts. Excellent examples of these early Karmann Ghia’s are getting hard to find.
