CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
All Original 1967 Ford Mustang GT Fastback. Nearly 100% factory original, just about the only things not original are the oil, tires, the air cleaner, and paint. Currently has 64,885 original miles. This car was factory equipped with a 390 V8 and 4 speed manual transmission, with a 3.25 limited slip rear end. Has power disc brakes on the front. Factory color was Vintage Burgundy, and has since been painted red. This car is in incredible condition, and is running and driving. The engine runs very, very strong, and is completely original. The trans is original, and in perfect working order, as well as the rear end, and the entire rest of the car. You won’t find anything out of place on this one. All of the doors open and close quite nicely, and have absolutely no sag in them. All of the glass is original except for the windshield. This car is a running, driving unit with just under 65,000 original miles on the original body and driveline. Its not just a runner, it’s a ripper. It will absolutely scat just as quickly as it did in 1967. It is no slouch by any means. The car has not been hot-rodded or modified for performance in any way. This fastback has been in storage since 1982, where it was parked in running condition with just a touch over 64,000 miles on it. The car has had approximately 800 miles put on it in the last almost 30 years. Out of storage, all fluids were dumped and replaced, with all lines blown out and filters replaced. Fresh gas, and a hot battery were the only thing required to bring this car roaring back to life. With that being said, the 390 does have a leaking exhaust manifold gasket that needs to be addressed. The manifold is not cracked, the gasket is just blown out. The car does not leak a drop of any sort of fluid from anywhere. Mechanically the drivetrain is solid, and needs nothing except an exhaust manifold gasket. The only part missing from the original factory equipment on the engine is the air cleaner assembly, which was replaced with a different air cleaner, likely pre-1982.The factory leather seats are in incredible condition, except for one spot on the passenger front seat, where the stitching has come apart in one small area (pictured). All of the gauges in the dash are operational. The car has minimal rust, but is not rust free. The car does need a passenger’s side floor pan. The passenger’s side rear quarter panel does have some rust as well, but it is limited to the under side of the car, and is fairly minimal. All of the factory vents for the brakes and the cab vents are functional and in good condition. The factory dash has no signs of wear, and absolutely no cracks. The body on the car is extremely straight, with great body lines throughout. The only defects on the body are the hood and front bumper. The front of the hood has a slight fold on the front, and there is slight damage to the front bumper. It looks like someone bumped into something at one point in the car’s life. But the damage is very, very light. By no means was this car crashed into a wall or involved in a rear end collision. This is more like someone didn’t set the parking brake, and it rolled into the front of someone’s garage. The chrome front bumper cover was replaced sometime after the incident, and before the car was parked in 1982. Again, the damage is very minimal, and is absolutely repairable in the hands of a good body shop. Every factory option on the car is 100% functional. The wipers work, all lights are in good working condition, the blinkers and hazard lights work like they’re supposed to. The car was not equipped with factory air conditioning, but the heat does work, and so do the roll-up windows. There isn’t a piece of trim out of place on the whole car, and all of the trim and chrome is in great shape. The car looks good in pictures and looks even better in person. You have to see this one to appreciate it. It really is like getting in a time machine and going back to 1967. This car is located in Perry, GA. It is privately owned, no dealership here.
