Awards reflect the caliber of workmanship that we regularly exhibit. While they are not for this specific vehicle, the vehicle is in superlative condition. Is this the most exceptional late IIa Series Land-Rover Safari Station Wagon available anywhere today? With all the overblown ads for a litany of products these days I refuse to make such a claim. I'll let you decide. Please review the list below for the unusual features of this superlative machine. For the newbies, this is the very last year of the "All-metal -dash" Series Land-Rovers. Some would argue the best of the best. After that Rover succumbed to the appeal of plastic dashboards, grilles and a host of other "improvements" few diehards tolerate. Dare Britannia imported this Land-Rover to the USA correctly and legally approximately 10 years ago and then sold it to a local who cherished and pampered it like his firstborn. We have copies of the original British release forms, stating its' mileage as being in the low 6,000s. Today it has still only done just a bit more than fourteen thousand.....280 miles per year. Is this The Holy Grail? Your call. Whenever the occasion arose for repairs or upgrades the owner never flinched for a millisecond over the cost....in fact he didn't even want to know. It was always maintained to the highest standards. All the bones of this Land-Rover are correct and factory-original, with a very, very few, nearly-invisible enhancements.......driving and backup lights, a satellite-vehicle-location system, heated windscreens, et al. Driven for several years by our client, this Land-Rover performed impeccably, as it does today. It corners like a gokart because of its dual anti-swaybars....a phenomenon unto itself. Its ride is very comfortable. This machine combines a superlative and unique amalgamation of features rivaled by a mere handful of Land-Rovers on the planet today. I have never been privileged to offer another of its class in my fifty years of lavishing attention on the Best 4 x 4 x Far. Thank you for looking. 1. NEW HEATED WINDSCREENS (DECEMBER 2012) 2.
