Rare find! Nice WIP. Gorgeous original patina. Manufacture date 1963 / registered as 1964. Standard 4cyl 4x4 3-speed model. Comes with 2019 Maine registration (no title; too old), original IH service manual, line setting ticket, additional cab top as well as original top (both pictured), PLUS 1965 donor/parts Scout 80 (optional; see pics -- engine turns by hand but I’ve never tried to run it — for parts only, includes plow frame/attachment but no plow).Starts, runs, and stops with some new brake work, but it's a project and will need to be towed for safety. I took it for a test drive when I bought it last year. Solid frame, usual body/floor rust but not terrible. Truck bed was lined/rebuilt with diamond plate by previous owner several years ago. One original gas tank is holding gas for now but obviously will need replacing before long. Mostly all original parts remain. Some work already done/started (new brake master cylinder, new clutch master cylinder, new fuel filter and lines, brake lines, wheel cylinders, distributor cap, plugs, cables etc), with more to go. Continue to fix it up and customize to your liking! Good luck finding one of these restored under $20K. Sadly, I have to let go of this project as priorities have shifted during the pandemic. Asking $6800 or best offer for BOTH trucks AS IS or will sell individually (the parts truck is probably not worth more than $500-800, though, so you're basically getting TWO trucks for the price of ONE). Arrange your own transport; convenient residential driveway location on a dead-end street. More pics and/or video(s) available upon request. |
