He had spent a great deal of time and money getting this Car the way he wanted it. He was a Scientist, a Retired Military Officer, and had a passion for Classic Cars and Lionel Trains. Sateen Silver / Red Interior / White Soft Top matching the Original Trim Tag. Original 283/170 Engine Replaced with 283/300 Crate Engine by Mark’s Performance Engines in Phoenix, AZ. Block Casting 3789935. This Block was used in 61-64 Passenger Cars, bored .030. 9.5 Compression Ratio with new Speed Pro Pistons Head Casting 3947040 1.94/1.50 Valves, 64cc Combustion Chambers with new Springs, Retainers, Push Rods and Comp Cams Roller Rocker Arms Crane 292/292H Hydraulic Camshaft with .480 Lift Intake Manifold Casting 3919803, 1968 327 and 350 with Rochester Quadrajet Carburetor Smooth Idle, and good power 3 Speed Manual Transmission, Column Shift Power Convertible Top was installed in 2011, works well and is in great condition. Upgraded to 12V Alternator Upgraded to Power Front Disc Brakes with dual Master Cylinder. New Brake Lines, Hoses, Parking Brake Cables, etc. Painted with Nason Ful-Cryl II Acrylic Enamel with Transtar 6841 Kwik Gloss Clearcoat. Front Suspension Rebuild and Refinished with new hardware New Fuel Tank New Factory style Dual Exhaust with Resonators New Body Mounts New Door Window Regulators All Weatherstrips and Gaskets are new. Floor Pans were replaced in areas that were rusted (RH Floor and Trunk Floor) Continental Kit Fender Skirts (in Trunk) All new Interior Column Mounted Tachometer Current Issues with the Car:Radio is inoperative.Speedometer works but mileage is not actual, was reset to zero when restored. Fuel Guage and Temp Guage inoperative, Clock works intermittently. Has a Transmission noise in first gear, may be normal for a Saginaw Three Speed. First gear is not synchronized. The Car had a shimmy at low speed. We discovered a worn Column Coupling and will replace it before delivery. The Car runs and drives very well. The Car has been detailed and is ready to drive anywhere.
