1970 Buick GS Stage 1 Four Speed Factory A/CYes, it's a real Stage 1 and yes it's equipped as it was off the showroom floor. Finished in Sherwood Green, this car is equipped with a correct four speed, and factory date code correct 455 that was built by Heintz Brothers in Statesville, NC. The engine nor the transmission are numbers matching. It is one of 664 made in 1970 with the 4 four speed stage one package. The vehicle underwent a restoration beginning in 2008, with a complete repaint, correct new vinyl top, and interior restoration mostly performed by Then and Now Auto in Georgia.I purchased the car in 2015 and completed the package with a new engine: date code correct stage 1 455 built by Heintz Brothers in Statesville, NC following the original Stage 1 blueprint with a minor list of internal changes to increase output including a TA Performance 288-94H cam that maintains a great idle. The exterior of the engine and engine bay are restored to appear 100% correct and original. I commissioned my friends at OW Mackey Auto Body Shop in Hickory, NC to restore the dash pad, restore padding in the front seats, trim and window alignment, and replace door and window seals and improve other interior and exterior issues that I felt needed attention to make the car beautiful and fun to show and go. Happy to help with shipping anywhere in the US or Worldwide at your expense. I highly recommend Plycar for transport in North America and can arrange EASY end-to-end delivery for you with them! |
