One of only 2,124 built that year with both the Z25 SS396 equipment package and the vaunted L78 396/375 HP big-block V-8 engine. January of 2014 with just a few hundred more miles on the odometer the car was returned to Gary Thurlow for another mechanical and cosmetic restoration to national judging standards, including all-new paint, a carburetor rebuild and fine tuning for optimum performances. Restored once again to the highest standards, this 1970 SS 396 convertible matches the original matching-numbers L78 big-block V-8 with Muncie 4-speed and 12-bolt Positraction rear end. Uniquely finished in Classic White with contrasting black Sport stripes. it features power steering and front disc brakes, the optional cowl- induction hood with hold-down pins and a sharp Strato bucket-seat interior with center console.
