This is my 1952 Ford F3 that started life as a West Penn Electric truck. The F3 is the "heavy" model comparable to a modern F350, is rated at a ton, and has a full 8 foot bed, heavy duty frame and suspension, and larger wheels. It has the original 215 cubic inch OHV in-line 6 cylinder engine with a 3 speed manual on the floor. It has just over 86,500 original miles. The truck’s electrical system has been converted from the original 6 volt positive ground to a 12 volt negative ground system. The brakes have new stainless lines, master cylinder, and third brake light. The cooling system has a new aluminum radiator, stainless hoses, and new belts. The engine has rebuilt carburetor, new alternator, coil, solenoid, rebuilt distributor with new points, condenser, plugs, and wires. The fuel system has a new fuel pump, new hosing, and new, poly gas tank with sender relocated out of the cab to under the rear of the bed.It has all new glass and weatherstripping, and rebuilt door window regulators. The doors, roof, and floor have been insulated and sounddampened. The heater and wipers have been rebuilt but are not wired. The “widow maker” rims have been replaced with proper Ford 8 lug rims. The steering has a new steering stabilizer shock installed and padded steering wheel. The truck has a customized bed made of PVC board. It originally had a unique service bed given its history as a utility truck. I was only able to save the fenders and the rare, short tailgate. The bed was designed to incorporate the uniqueness of the tailgate. It starts right up, runs, shifts, stops. I drive it about 5 miles a week at 40 mph on the back roads around my farm. I have a clean Pennsylvania title. It is sold “as is” with no warranty. |
