TRIPLE-BLACK 1968 BUICK RIVIERA GSThis 1968 Buick Riviera GS has been garage kept its entire life after first being purchased in Southern California and then later moved with the original female owner to Arizona. The current owner purchased the rare classic from the buyer of the estate and it now resides in Northern California. The car has been professionally tuned, carburetor rebuilt, rebuilt front power disc brakes, and original numbers matching engine rebuilt. This vehicle is extremely loaded with luxury, form elegance, and rare performance options. For being such a desirable color today, the Code A “Regal Black” paint was a remarkably rare color with Rivieras in 1968 with only 1,081 being produced (2.19% of run). Stunning deluxe interior with the more rare early ’68 strap handle including elegant scroll design. The A9 GS option (only 5337 produced) includes heavy-duty suspension, high-performance positive traction differential (3.42 gear ratio), chrome air cleaner, and specific ornamentation. The power disc brakes are quite uncommon with only 2905 out of 49,284 Riviera in the 1968 production (5.9%). The AC is original and currently blows cold! Because of the dry environemental conditions, there is no fear of rust, and elements like the vinyl top and chrome wheels are in immaculate original condition.
