1964 Cadillac Coupe Deville, All original paint and mechanics, 80,000 original miles, wipers work, power locks work, original radio works, clock works, all gauge work, parking and running lights work, brakes good, runs and drives smooth with no issues with no overheating, smoke, funny sounds or hesitation, starts up everytime and i have to say that i'm truly impressed by the 429 engine as it has to be one of the finest innovations general motors engineered. carpet is decently clean, headliner intact, dash board good along with all gauges, levers etc it's not missing any components. heat, defrost work great. 2 new tires in the front the back tires are fair. Body is straight with straight cadillac lines. No dents, Ziebarted from the factory underneath the frame and wheel wells etc so that really saved this car but the Ziebart has eroded in many places it was sprayed underneath so the frame has surface rust/scales from the ziebart but no noticeable rusted thru parts on the frame. A good sand blast or waterless type blast could remove the surface rust from the frame. The doors are solid they were Ziebarted (see pics). Top rocker panels (fisher body) are solid but along the bottom of the car there are rust bubbles and rust underneath the original paint along the bottom (see pics). There is rust on the bottom quarters (see pics). A few bubbles on the front fenders (see pics). The trunk is solid. The rear bumper is solid. The front bumper has a rust spot at the bottom (typical of all these years). All the trim is present. Nothing is rusted thru in the engine compartment its solid. This is a 1964 everyday driver that gets looks of amazement & Awe, because you don't see them often and it looks good for an all original car but upon close examination by a true professional car collector or enthusiasts, it would be determined that it is a fair driver quality vehicle that needs some restoration at some point in the future. So drive it home or bring a trailer (I prefer you bring a trailer after all this is an original 1964) and it should be gone thru despite me taking it out to the lake on the weekends etc. So drive it daily until your ready to park it to start restoring it. Ill answer any questions, please do not bid if you have no money, please dont bid if you have no money to eventually pay someone to restore for you, please don't bid expecting a 1964 to look like a 2020 car or you have not mechanical aptitude to restore it overtime yourself in the garage. I will accept wire, personal check, cashiers check or cash. Thank you |
