The good thing about tribute cars is that you can pick and choose different features to create an All-Star car. Make it the way you wished the factory did. This Buick started out as a 1971Skylark 2dr Custom to which I added the 1970 GS Skylark front end. I just like the’70’s look better.It has spent most of its adult life as a drag car here in Colorado. Rust and accident free sheet metal.Runs like a dream, great driver, with a very powerful but docile V8 (Thanks to the hydraulic roller cam),Power steering and power brakes. It’s a very fun car to drive and take to car shows. I keep it plated and ready for everyday use. The EngineBuick 455 stroked to 482 cubic inches Gessler ported Edelbrock aluminum heads, Eagle rods and Ross forged pistons,roller rockers, TA custom hydraulic roller cam 10.5 compression ratio. All necessary oil mods done to block. Moroso deep sump oil pan. Runs fine on 91 pump gas. TA timing cover, Edelbrock Performer intake with Holley 1000 cfm double pump carb, complete MSD ignition,CV Products billet mechanical fuel pump with stealth 140 GPH Holley electric. pump for backup. Number 8 fuel line from tankTA chrome headers, 3" mandrel Flowmaster exhaust with cutouts On chassis dyno engine made 407 H.P,590 torque at rear wheels on 91 octane pump gas. The TransmissionThe Turbo 400 transmission is custom built to handle 750 HP, Hughes street fighter 3,000 stall 10 inch converter Steel drive shaft with 1350 u-joints. Buick 8.5 inch 10 bolt rear axle stuffed with Richmond 3.42 gears with Eaton posi. Fast stopping 4 wheel disc brakes, Hotchkis rear control arms with rear air bags, Chassis Engineering shocks. Battery mounted in the trunk. This car hooks hard and goes straight. The BodyNo Rust Western Car. Painted white with Blue GSX stripswith green pin stripes. Really gets lots of compliments.Custom one of a kind functioning fiberglass GS hinged cowl hood. GSX rear deck spoiler Interior GM Blue cloth bucket seats and blue carpet and non AC dash pad. There is a three spoke wheel, and a trio of after market gauges and Monster TachPowder coated front and rear steel bumpers.Up front there is a GSX badge, the GS lower rocker trim has matching green pinstripes,Front fenders and air cleaner advertise Stage 2.The car rolls on custom 15x8 Buick Rally wheels fitted with 235/60/15R on front and 275/60/15R tires on rear. It gives it a nice stance.Also have a pair of MT 28x11.50 street slicks on 15x8 Rally rims that come with it for the dragstrip. Car often competes locally at Bandimere’s 6000ft elevation track in King Street class where even with the 3.42 gear it runs 12.09/110 mph through the mufflers. That would translate to 11.5’s at a sea level strip. All lights, wipers and heater are working. Awesome 2 core aluminum radiator, never over heats.Runs and drives great. VERY fast and a blast to cruise slowly as well. Could certainly be used as a track/drag car. Overall the car is in great condition. Always stored in heated garage and never driven in ANY weather.
