1968 Corvette 427, White with Red InteriorAll Original: L36 Engine (427/390hp), drivetrain, exhaust and intake manifolds, Rochester 4BBL, air cleaner, radiator (new core), fan, shroud, water, pump, alternator, Muncie M-21 4 speed transmission, rear end. The car went through a full body-on restoration in 2010/2011 with fewer than 1200 miles driven since and has a current total mileage of 64,699. This original production date of the car was 05/28/1968 and it was delivered to McMurray Chevrolet in Black Mountain, NC in 1968. The car’s total mileage is 64,699.Mechanics: The engine is a fresh rebuild with 10 over-factory pistons (no sleeves), with slightly larger cam than factory. Muncie, water pump, and alternator have all been rebuilt, and the original Rochester has been restored. A new heater core has been installed. The original smog equipment has been removed. Brakes have been rebuilt with half shaft u-joints with bearing all around. The rear spring is a non-factory production spring. Body: Vehicle maintains all original factory panels and bonding strips, with no hit and no panel replacements. Front spoiler has had a minor repair. Bumpers are all original and all except for the front bumper are fresh show chrome. New weather stripping has been installed as well as new correct exterior chrome door handles. N.O.S. numbers, letters and badges used all around. Soft top (black, 1981) and hard top (white/red) are in very good condition. Interior: In excellent condition overall for its age. Mostly original with the exception of new carpet, driver’s seat re-covering, and new re-production storage compartment in back. Original seatbelts have been restored and are in rarely seen, excellent condition.Miscellaneous: Vehicle includes like new tires (Goodyear 255 75 R15 with fewer than 1000 miles). The rims are 69s.- 8”, so the larger tires are the correct fit and ride great. Also includes a new, correct gas tank.Car is located in Minneapolis, MN. The person that restored the car is available as well to answer any questions. He is a local NCRS member that has restored a few corvettes to receive top flight awards.
