1971 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible. This is a solid "Driver" C3, that has benefited from a few modest upgrades and minor restoration efforts. Good paint, good carpet, Non-original 71 corvette engine with an LT1 manifold, Holly 750, electronic ignition power steering, Hooker Headers (runs good, good compression, very minor oil burning). Many new suspension pieces, recently aligned, new radiator, new brakes, master cylinder, and lines, new vacuum hoses, etc. New soft convertible top (black), original hardtop. I have the shop paper work on all of the work put into the car since I bought it. Also have many pictures and paper work, going back to the 90s. This is a fine, fun car that (with two small children) I just don't get to enjoy that much anymore. Certainly could be a candidate for a complete restoration project, or just a fun car to cruise in on the weekends and drive to local car shows in. But it is almost 50 years old, is far from perfect. A couple of issues to note: Windshield wiper system in not functional, needs rebuild of mechanical and vacuum system, I started to rebuild this and have all the parts except for the wiper motor. Heater blower motor is not functional, not sure of the condition of the heater core, no leaks. Turn signals recently stopped working, all other lights work, including hazards, suspect it is the switch inside the steering column. Interior is all there, but I recommend replacing the seat vinyl's and cushions. Motor was rebuilt in the early 2000s, has mostly not been driven since then, but I am unsure of the mileage since the rebuild. Runs very well, with good compression and recently rebuilt distributor and electronic ignition. The Holly 750 is honestly too much for this size engine, especially at high altitudes, if I were to keep the car here in CO, I would move down to a 600.I'm happy to discuss the cars condition, history, things to do, etc. via phone or email.
