MG Midget . This is a unrestored survivor that has really only had 2 owners with the original owner having it for over 50 years of the cars life. I bought the car from the original owner. The car is titled a 1963 but according to the vin number it is a 1962. It is the Mk. 1 with the original 948 cc engine and 4 speed smooth case tranny, The car was repainted once back in the 80's due to a minor accident to the passenger side front end. It still has the original paint in the trunk, engine compartment and interior. The seats were recovered once and I added some carpet since. It comes with the rare back cushion to sit on. It still has some original door fuzzy trim on the passenger door. It still has the original top, side curtains, tool kit and red tonneau cover. Like I said earlier, the car has never been restored and just driven. The mileage is original at 57,702. It has a Indiana title as that is where he lived when he bought the car back in 1963. I have a bill of sale as that is all that is required in Alabama before 1975, but I do have the Indiana title in hand. All instruments and lights work, as does the horn and all ancillaries. The body is in pretty good shape for an original car of this age. It does have some bubbling rust around the lower doglegs, lower fenders and rockers. The floors are solid with no rust. The worst place for rust and damage is the passenger side lower fender in the pix. The paint is ok. The windshield has no cracks. The tires are almost new and I put new brakes on the rear along with new wheel cylinders. I also installed a new master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder. When I bought the car it came with a new clutch assembly so I have installed it. The engine is all original and not rebuilt as is the rear end and tranny. The original owner did install an electronic ignition on the distributer. All the chrome and lights are original. All in all this is a very good running and original Mk 1 Midget that is good the way it is. I would drive it as is and enjoy a nice, unmolested car. They are getting hard to find in this condition.
