Thank you for checking us out at Knucklehead Garage/Carstore. We are ecstatic to offer one of the hottest vehicles on the market a 1973 VW Dune Buggy. A little history on Knucklehead garage, we have been in the classic car business more than 40 years. We have sold hundreds of classic cars. We were selling classics long before it became the phenomenon it is today. I have the experience to know a quality vehicle and I am able to describe it accurately. Located in Grand Island Nebraska; we are in the Midwest where you can still find a few DEALS. Our Prices are so LOW we often sell to other dealers. Check my feedback and purchase with confidence. Our customers are WORLDWIDE; I look forward to working with you in your classic purchase. One of the hottest and most popular vehicles of the 70’s was the Volkswagen Dune Buggy Conversion. You have to admit they are COOL LOOKING, affordable, and FUN to drive! That is the first thing everyone says when you pull up in the Dune Buggy, “That looks like a lot of fun to drive”! The Brite Yellow color on this Dune Buggy just screams FUN! The fiberglass body on the dune buggy is very good. The paint is extremely shiny and very presentable, but it does have a few chips. The engine starts and runs perfectly and the transmission shifts properly. The interior is in great condition and has an AM-FM-CD player with speakers mounted under the seats. For passenger safety seat belts have been installed. At Knucklehead Garage we are really DIGGIN’ the ‘65/’66 Mustang tail lights! The platform for this build was a 1957 shortened pan with King Pin/Link Pin front axle. The dune buggy has the original split case transmission. The engine is a 1600 cc “H” code block with dual port heads, the case end play is tight and it is marked .020 mains and .040 thrust. The Dune buggy is running a 12 volt system (Bosch Alternator) with 6 volt starter, “009” distributor and 34 pict 3 carburetor. Note the RARE original ’57 speedometer! The miles on the odometer are not represented as actual and the Dune Buggy will be sold as exempt. The Dune buggy still has the original 5X205 bolt pattern and is running wheel adapters for the 15” X 8” Eagle Alloy Polished Aluminum Wheels. We did have this Dune Buggy inspected by our mechanic who is a VW Guru and he gave the car a clean bill of health and two thumbs up! Check out our LOW PRICE of ONLY $7,798.00! This may be the BEST BUYS on eBay for a Fantastic Volkswagen Dune Buggy! This one is sure to sell, so don’t wait until the last day to make your purchase!
