All body panels are remarkably straight with the exception of a poor flair job on the rear quarters to clear the meats on the back. The front clip had been removed at some time and was not aligned well when reassembled. There is no damage to the panels or mounting points, just poor work. Floor pans and truck pan are all solid. Again poor patch work on the drivers door low corner, not from rust but minor impact. The whole car is flat black. All but the windshield is tinted. The car was white with black interior. The interior has GTO high-back seats. The rest of the interior is stock original and in fair shape. I never tried the stereo, can't hear it anyhow.396 bored to 408 (as I was told by the previous owner), medium cam with a nice lope. Don't know when or who built the engine but it has good compression and runs on 92 octane gas. Strong, clean running with 750 CFM Holley, HEI ignition, big tube - long tube wrapped headers flow into 3" pipe, glass packs. Heavy duty radiator with electric fan. Sounds nasty and pulls hard.TH350 trans with shift kit, posi rear, line lock, Hurst slap stick shifter. coil over rear suspension. Stock but lowered front. Standard steering, power disk brakes.Frame connectors. Ladder bars. Battery in trunk. Tack and cowl mounted gauges for oil and water.I have new door seal rubber, trunk seal, set of window weather strips. All new not installed. Rear tires have plenty on meat left. The front skinny little things are new. Spare in the trunk. The car has great potential for a restoration. Right now it is street legal and with little work, could be brought back as a nice ride. I bought it as a potential project but I already have a couple projects that is taking much of my time and space (and money) so I'll pass it on. I'll take more pictures, Just ask. |
