| 1964 Mercedes Unimog 404 DOKA 3 DOORVery, Very Rare 3 door version of the crew cab style Unimogs. This was a running and driving vehicle last year before a kid threw a rock through the left plate of glass in the windshield. Due to the pandemic, i have been unable to order a piece of glass to replace it. It's flat Glass, and NORMALLY wouldn't be a big deal but the entire country is shut down, and I can't seem to find one over-sees to get shipped for the same reason.... So It needs a piece of glass. Engine Runs well, and is geared so low it will pull a building over. Is 6 speeds Forward, 2 Reverse. Interior is dirty from sitting but actually brand new seat covers. Also comes with an extra set of seats in very good shape, though i don't have photos immediately handy. Also comes with extra stock Mercedes parts... lights, chain boxes, spare used carb... and misc smalls. i also think i have a dash gun rack. Everything Works properly... Signals... wipers (for what they're worth)... no problems there. Frame is excellent. Body Recently painted so very little rust if any. Includes a Modified VLF box that has been fabricated to fit and needs finished inside. I got the insulation stage before i stopped. Also made a ladder for roof access. where the spare is kept. Has rare overhead cab storage and Mercedes light rack.I had dome some research before purchasing this truck, which was shipped from Belgium... and was told there are less than 20 surviving 3 door truck known to exist, and less than 6 in the USA, last time he checked. If you know anything about these trucks, you know they're rare as 2 doors, rarer as 4 doors, and WHEN HAVE YOU EVER EVEN SEEN a 3 door. All of the 3 door trucks have extended headroom cabs for easy of movement for a Crew... This was a Military Only version of this vehicle... built specifically for Mountain Access. There is no PTO on any 3 door version that I am aware of, though it has all the body provisions for it. Original, Gasoline Engine. This will need a driver front wheel cylinder repaired: It's leaking so as it sits, no brakes. It does start, run and Drive, however. For extra money on purchase I can repair it before pickup. This Truck is an absolute BEAST off-road. It will climb over any obstacle it literally won't push, which, isn't many. So- in summary- Great opportunity to buy a rare truck that has had almost all the hard work done. In a day can be running and driving reliably, again. Clear Ohio Title. | |
