| This listing is for a 1955 Ford Thunderbird body and frame that is an old race car. It was raced many many years ago. The firewall was cut and opened up to allow the engine to be moved rearward on custom mounts. Custom tunnel section. They removed the X from the frame. They 45'd the rear frame ends and welded the rear bumper brackets. The rear quarter fins were modified at one time and then re-replaced (poorly). Original stock front suspension and steering box. Front springs appear to be heavy duty. Rear leaf springs were beefed up with 8 leafs per side. Has a 57' Ford 9" with a 4:56 Traction loc. Traction master traction bars. Body is all steel and not really rotted just beat and abused. Floors and rockers are original. Trunk floor is very solid. Inner and outer wheelwell are extremely solid. Door posts are very good. Doors are ok. Fenders are original 55' and though not rotted need some hammer and dolly work. Nose panel is dented up pretty good. Trunk is solid but they welded up the gas lid door. Welded up the rear exhaust outlets. Hood is nice. Comes with replacement firewall and inner fender sections for repairing engine compt mods. Pretty rough but not because of rot issues, just modified and raced hard and the abuse that comes with it. It is an early 55' built in Dec 54'. Have the title of a previous owner and I can provide a bill of sale. Selling as is. Only comes with what is in the pictures. Local pickup only | |
