1968 Mustang fastback, deluxe interior, 302 auto with P/S and rare 8K tach. Please note: I do not do international sales or to those not within or representing parties outside the lower 48 states because i have been burned before by non-paying parties or those who wish to change terms of sale. Thanks.NEW parts installed in the past few months ...Battery, oil and filter, Ignition coil, water pump, thermostat, heater hoses, carb. bowl gaskets and accel. pump, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel tank, tank sending unit (Ford), (2) brake wheel cylinders, 30" of brake line, rear transmission seal, right side reverse light assembly (Ford), interior light door jamb switch, Instrument bezel, instrument lenses and woodgrained dash trim, wiper blades, Transmission fluid drained and refilled. Exhaust manifold gaskets.Body:New (Ford) front fenders, new lower front valance, stone guard panel (underneath the grill), Replaced (good used oem) headlight extensions, new "Ford" lettering on hood. I replaced the drivers side lower rear quarter, trunk drop and outer (lower) wheel well. The passenger side lower quarter section was also replaced some years ago. The previous owner replaced all (4) inner fender aprons. The car has had repair work or replacement of frame sections and floors at some point over its lifetime. In my opinion these are still holding up okay and the only area I see that will need attention at some point is the left rear frame rail at the leaf spring shackle (other side is good). It is not broken but is heavily rusted with some holes. The trunk floor is good. The exterior body has a few small spots of rust (see pics) along with dings and dents. The glass and surrounding stainless trim is in very good to excellent condition. I believe at some point the front grill surround trim was replaced along with the center horse and grill mounted trim because they are too nice to be original. The same goes for the tailight chrome bezels. Doors, hood and trunk all open and close very well. I cleaned and repainted the grill.Mechanicals:I was told by the previous owner that the original 302 engine was replaced with one out of a 69 Torino. It seams to be basically stock with a Holley 4 barrel carb. I have only driven the car around my block and it starts (typically on the first turn of the key) runs, shifts and stops good. The engine does not run hot, had a 195 thermostat in it that would not open because the engine never got that hot, switched to a 180 degree. The engine and tranny are dry underneath (no leaks). The exhaust system is good.Interior:The car has very nice interior with overhead and lower center console, clock, 8k tach and trip odometer, fold down rear seat with trap door. Dash pad is near perfect and was most likely replaced at some point. I cleaned sanded and repainted the dash and installed new instrument bezel, lenses and wood/chrome trim across dash. All gauges work except clock. Carpet is good. The headliner has a small hole near the sunvisor about 1" in diameter. The passenger seat has a seperation at one of the seams. The fold down seat is crooked and needs adjusted to re-align it.Area's of concern:Parking brake needs repair, it is frozen.Brake warning light stays on. Maybe a switch or control valve issue?Fold down seat needs adjusted.Left rear frame rail section at the leaf spring shackle is rusted.Parts:The following are new parts (un-installed) that are included...(2) outer door handles (Ford), (2) "Mustang" script fender emblems (Ford), (2) running horse fender badges with "302", Antenna (Ford) and "Mustang" trunk lettering.Clear title in my name.TERMS OF SALE:Auction End: I reserve the right to end the auction for any reason and at any time.Payments :1) A deposit of $1000 (non-refundable) must be paid within 24 hours of the close of the auction Via PayPal. 2) The remaining balance is due no later than (3) calender days after the auction ends Via cash or bank wire transfer ONLY.
