CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
Up for sale is my Lemon Twist Yellow 1974 Plymouth Barracuda . I have owned this car for 8 years and now have to thin out the toys. There is no way I will sell my 1957 Plymouth Belvedere or my Antique Harley Davidson so, this beauty regretfully has go. This car was purchased out of the south. When we stripped it down town to bare metal we were surprised not to find any previous body work and absolutely no rust!. This is an original E body that has never been hit, hacked on and has the original body panels and the trunk is solid. I have been in this hobby for 24 yrs and have never seen such a nice original body before nor had the body shop where it was painted. The car has a non original 440 cu./in. with a cam, powder coated headers, new 3 inch dia. exhaust, Magna Flow mufflers with stock square Mopar exhaust tips. The engine has an Edelbrock intake and 650 cfm 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor which is also new. It did come with a Holley 4 barrel double pumper 780 CFM. With that carburetor setup it measured 625 H.P on the Dynomometer. I believe i have that info somewhere which was given to me by the last owner. I changed it to the 650 CFM because the Holley ran very rich even after leaning it out and the Edelbrock was better for just cruising and premium gas usage. The Holley has been rebuilt and can go with the car.The transmission is a 727 Automatic Chrysler with a manual valve body upgrade. For those who aren't familiar, it is an automatic transmission that You must shift yourself! The shift pattern is very simple. First is low gear or first, second is second gear and drive is 3rd gear or D, reverse is reverse. This is an upgrade addition and is fun to drive. It can be changed back to normal for a cost which I never checked into. I really like the manual auto, never had one but it is very cool. The paint and pre paint blocking was done by one of the best painters I have ever witnessed. I have restored 5 cars myself and was a part owner in a body shop, this is really good work. I have pictures during the process. I have taken the car to 5 shows and taken 5 plaques and trophy's. The car is simply beautiful and is always admired. The up grades to this car are as Follows: A new Vintage Air air conditioning system (original A/C Car). A Be Cool 4 row large aluminum radiator. Brand new B.F. Goodrich wide radials. Newer shocks all around. Mostly new front end hardware and linkages. TCI 3800 stall speed torque converter. Vacuum generator for power brake system. Brand new power bake booster and brake reservoir. There are no issues with this car! Runs very strong. Walking around this car you will notice a lot of new accessories and fixtures. Everything works as it should. There are no rips or tears in the seats and carpet has been replaced. Some scratches on interior door panels from normal wear. The car also has the desirable Rally Gauge Package with Digital Gauges mounted to the bottom of the dash for accuracy. The sound system is a pioneer with CD player a single dual cone 6X9 in dash stereo speaker and two 6X9 in the rear deck. There are no leaks anywhere that I am aware of and the car runs cool and has never overheated. This car was done right and is pretty quick and sounds amazing. I'm not sure I have listed everything. I stopped counting the money invested here sometime ago but most know you can put a bundle in these old Mopars! I am sure you will agree it was worth it. I will be adding more pics so, keep an eye out. I also have the original built sheet showing it was originally a 318 cu.in. This car has been examined and decoded by Galen Govier and is in the Chrysler Registry. Inspection before purchase is always recommended (if possible). Any question, just e mail me and I will try to get back ASAP. Thanks
