CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
1975 Chevrolet C10 Description SR# 1-244957075267Please cut and paste this link below for a full 5-1/2 minute walkaround video of the truck running. This is a custom built 1975 Chev C-10 that has a lot of attention to detail. This was a professionally built truck with a lot of nice parts, fit and finish. This truck was not built by me. I made some changes, did some finish work, and added a few things. I've owned it for a couple years now, and I don't drive it much and would like to sell it and make more room in my shop. This is an extremely fun pick up to drive around in and gets the thumbs up everywhere I go. The chop in the top maybe deceiving from pictures, but I am 6'1"s tall & weigh about 217 lbs. & 2 of me can ride in this truck with plenty of room to spare. The seats are mounted to the factory hump on the floor, so there is plenty of head room and still plenty of legroom to drive comfortably. ENGINE: I was told the motor is a 505hp 383 stroker crate motor. You can tell by the balancer it's a 400 crank and it has a pretty aggressive solid lifter cam with an aggressive duration with plenty of power that leads me to believe it's accurate. It has aluminum heads, full roller rockers, probably about 10.5:1 comp., high rise aluminum intake, pacesetter block hugger headers, 2.5" exhaust with welded mufflers and s.s. tips, full MSD 6AL Digital ignition box, MSD billet distributor, MSD wires, QFT SS-750 carb with electric choke, serpentine belt setup with aluminum water pump, power steering pump, 7 quart oil pan, high pressure oil pump, and alternator. The engine is cooled by a 180 degree thermostat and an aluminum radiator with shroud and dual electric fans wired to a temp. switch. TRANSMISSION: is a built th700r4 automatic with overdrive and lockup 3200 stall converter, shift kit, aluminum pan, tranny cooler, and B&M shifter. REAR AXLE: is a GM 12 bolt, narrowed, with 4.10 gears, posi, disc brakes, and an aluminum finned rear cover. FRAME & SUSPENSION: the frame is custom made, the rails to the back of the cab are stock, but the front has a SCOTT'S pro touring subframe with tubular adjustable control arms with drop spindles and mustang II rack and pinion power steering. The rear has a ladder bar sub fame professionally sectioned into the front half and all welds are really nice. The frame was nicely painted black. It has adjustable coil over shocks at all 4 corners along with 4 wheel disc brakes. PAINT & BODY: I believe this truck started out as a rust free body. I've been all over this truck and see no signs of rust, rot, or patch panels. The paint is probably 5 years old+ and is still very nice. I wash it in cold water once a year and wax it before I drive it. The top has a 5-6" chop and was professionally done, there are no signs of welding grinding or sectioning and all the doors fit and shut nice. If you were extremely meticulous, you could probably wet sand and buff the truck a shade more to make it that much nicer. This truck has been driven & like all used vehicles, it does have a couple small rock chips if you were to chase it with a magnifying glass, you would find a couple. The markers have all been shaved and the rear tail lights have recessed buckets with 4 LED tail lights. All the rubber gaskets and seals are new. The lower valance is off an 87' suburban that I modified to fit the bumper. WINDSHIELD & GLASS: This truck has NO glass in it. The windshield, side windows, and back glass are ALL plexiglass. There all in great shape with NO cracks or scratches. The side windows roll up and down and the wing windows vent and have been tinted. CHROME & TRIM: all the chrome and trim are new and are in great shape with a nice shine. TIRES&WHEELS: Wheels are Centerline solid aluminum wheels, 15x3.5 in the front and 15x15 in the rear. Rear tires are Mickey Thompson 33x21.50x15 sportsmans. Fronts are 165-15 radial front runners. INTERIOR: has leather Procar bucket reclining seats. I put a center console out of an 87' suburban between them. There are 4 speakers, 2 in the kick panels, and 2 in the dash, and an Autosounds retro radio. Black carpet floor with mats, nice dash pad, tilt GM column with key, nice black door panels with lower carpet, and factory gauges with aftermarket tach. All gauges work but fuel gauge is off and temp gauge reads about 15 degrees hotter than it actually is. NO A/C. As you have read all this, it sounds like a really nice truck and it is. Being most readers are a fair distance away, they want to know if there are any issues with it. Good questions! The only things I would make someone aware of, are: In the MN winters here, this truck is not driven and sits in the corner of my heated shop that never goes below 40 degrees, in that 5 month time of sitting, the rear main seal will leave a drop of oil on my shop floor the size of a quarter. However, during the summer when it gets started and driven, it usually never drips. The second thing I'm aware of, is the rubber grommet around the dipstick tube for the transmission leaks tranny fluid, an easy fix, I just haven't done it. I have described this sweet hot rod to the best of my ability, it is still a 45 year old truck. You are welcome to have the truck inspected, come see it, ask any and all questions by eBay messages, phone calls, or even text @ (651) 775-7887 Thanks!
