*****PLEASE SCRATCH LAST NOTATION ABOUT IT HAVING AN OIL LEAK. As mentioned below I had had its oil changed and DUMMY at auto parts store sold me the wrong oil filter and and the one he had sold me has a lip on top that did not seal tight to block so oil was leaking from wrong filter, had my mobil mechanic go back today tho and get the CORRECT filter so ALL is GOOD again!*People, this baby PURRS like a kitten!$3,750 is an absolute STEAL for it!!!I just noticed that even its gas gauge still works!1968 Checker Marathon, Sat In Dry Storage For 28 Year’s, RUNS AWESOMELY! ONLY $3,750!Wanted more, honestly think it’s worth more $(just the past 2 days I spent $750 on it getting it up/going again), but now I need to dump 6 vehicles in my driveway so we can finish are driveway.It runs/drives GR8 but of course it will need tire’s, belts, hoses, etc replaced from sitting(probably a simple tune up too). It already received fuel flushed, a new fuel pump, a new battery, and an oil change.I bought 21 month’s ago along with light blue one shown with it in pics(sold light blue one and one in primer, this one was my fave out of the 3).Anyways, I bought from a 90 year old Checker collector who had built a nice storage place just for his 3 Checker’s, these 2 shown here and he had a restored one that was a taxi and he donated it to a Checker museum.This 68 was the only one he ever really drove tho he told me.It even has a gas receipt in glovebox from the last x he had fueled it up which was 1990.And then it was driven into DRY storage for 28 year’s!It was/is my fave because it has a V8/auto(65 has a 6/man trans).And no kidding, I had it started and purring 21 months ago 15 minutes after it got to me.I drove it around some(it’s unbelievable its brakes r still up/working) and then its fuel pump went out and I parked it and I never touched it again.Believe it or not my wife doesn’t want me to sell it(we both think it’s cool but she wants me to paint it PINK, her most fave color but I don’t know about that?).It had typical type rust on mostly rockers and some typical floor boards/trunk floor rust but is ALL fixable/patchable meaning no panels hv to be changed(body rot/rust can easily be metaled in and floods can be easily patched, floors r strong under seats where it counts).Where else can u find any DECENT Classic Car these days that literally purrs like a kitten/drives for a measly $3,750!
