Introduced by Ford as the answer to the other Detroit sport cars being offered by the competition, the Boss was an immediate contender in the muscle car wars of the late 1960s'. This Calypso Coral Mach 1 example stands apart as it was built on June 26, 1970 at the Metuchen Assembly, Edison, New Jersey plant and did not have one follower down the assembly line as it was the last pony car produced in the factory that year. As per it's Elite Marti Report, this one-of-one 1970 Mach 1 was produced with a sporty white knit vinyl interior, unmistakable Shaker hood and hubcap and trim ring wheels. Power is provided by a 351 cubic-inch V8 Cleveland engine mated to a wide-ratio, top-loader four-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. It has power steering, a 3.25:1 conventional rear axle and competition suspension. The sleek exterior features hood and rear decklid tape striping, rear window louver slats, Shaker hood, front and rear spoilers, and color-keyed racing mirrors. A center console, instrument gauges and a rim blow deluxe steering wheel highlight the interior. The pony car rides on F70 Goodyear Polyglas belted raised-white-letter tires, and steel wheels with trim rings and hubcaps. Included with the vehicle are the original Window Sticker, original Build Sheet and Elite Marti Report. Documented and in excellent restored condition, this Mach 1 Mustang has terrific production pedigree and is ready for the car show or any cruise-in! Don't miss your opportunity to own a great piece of muscle car history!
