This 1974 Scout II was recently acquired here in CO, and has been here all of its life according to the previous owner. I have installed a new electric fuel pump, new battery, new starter, belts and plug wires. The carb was rebuilt as well. The exterior:The frame and body are straight are solid. All doors close flush and tight. It has the typical rust on both rear quarter panels behind the front doors and above the rear wheels. Other than that, some surface rust on driver mid door, and one hole in the top (passenger side). Passenger rear quarter was repaired at some point, so paint is off there. The engine runs solid. The rear hatch closes but doesn't lock, and the handle is cracked. The disc front brakes and rear drums all function, but the e-brake is not. The previous owner added two additional fuel tanks (which are abandoned), so there is a fuel filler hole added in each rear quarter panel. Interior...again much of the original in pretty decent shape. The original floor mat was still in place, which I removed to identify all rust areas. As seen in the photos, there is some extensive damage in the front floor pans, along the step to the rear floor and the rear floor along the back and sides. All glass is intact with no damage. Tires hold air but are weathered. This Scout could be a sweet ride with some repairs done!I reserve the right to end this listing at any time, as it is listed locally as well. Clean title in hand. You can call me, Ryan directly at 719-371-6031 for any questions or to see the vehicle in person. While every effort is being made to describe this Scout II as accurately as possible, it is a 46 year old classicand is being sold as-is, without warranty or guarantee expressed, written or implied. |
