For sale today is a numbers matching 1972 Z28 Camaro that maintains it original 255hp, 350 small block, 4 speed, rally wheels (5) and Firestone wide oval bias ply tires ( not original, I put those on because the old tires were bad. tires are like new) and 10 bolt posi rear end. The body is in excellent shape for the year and has absolutely no rust through in the floors or trunk. There is some surface rust around the rear windows and water leaks in when its outside ( stored inside a garage now). The odometer reads 56,000 miles but I can't confirm that is the true mileage. The car did run, drive and stop very well until the engine started to knock and I shut it down. Its an original white with black stripe car but at some point in its life someone decided to paint it burgundy and then back to white and black. Both paint jobs were done poorly and it shows. The inside of the drivers side front fender and drivers door are lime green so they were replaced at some point as well probably due to an accident. I have a new package tray and door panel for the drivers door and a new exhaust that go with the car. It even has the original jack. 72 Z28's are going up in value according to Hemmings because GM went on strike at the Norwood Ohio plant on April 7th for 174 days and an estimated 30,000 Camaros were scrapped leaving only 2575 Z28's produced.
