| 1953 Mercury MontereyOriginal Engine and Transmission- Was a running and driving car a few years ago... not currently roadworthy. Engine Turns over freely...but will need a tune up, radiator hoses, and gone over, but it's all there. shouldn't take much at all. I assume the brakes need bled. The Passenger front brake is locked up from sitting, but i'll try to get it rolling freely before a sale. There is minor rust on the body... Rockers, Floors and Trunk are very, very solid....Car doesn't need any panel replacement at all... just small repairs. The front crossmember under the engine has a large hole that needs attention...definitely the worst part of the car. The rest of the frame appears solid, showing only surface rust. The Front sway bar is bent from improper towing... could be saved, probably needs replaced. The missing trim you see is in the trunk and is in very good shape. Trunk lock has been drilled to get it open. Does have original spare. Interior is complete and usable, but original and shows signs of age. i do have a set of fender skirts included. This is an excellent candidate for restoration as from what i can see, is almost completely original and unmolested. I have a clear Ohio title and can deliver locally if you work out the details in advance. Otherwise i'm happy to coordinate shipping with you. Sold as is.
