1956 Flight Hawk one year production just over 4000 units produced thought to be only 60 or more left on the road. This is an original car with exception of the V-8 motor that came out of a 1962 Studebaker 289 engine that shows 120 psi at each cylinder. The car is originally light blue but has had a white overlay of paint that is in need of removal. We have driven the car locally the transmission shifts as it should the engine is in good working order Studebaker over built their engines with 30% more surface area on the rods and crank the crank is forged not cast the rods are forged not cast, No timing chain gear to gear. these engines are bulletproof. the brakes on the car work although should be rebuilt ,the suspension is acceptable but a bit weak. The interior is original but weathered. A very solid car would make a fun project save your marriage give you an opportunity to go to the garage and work on your car. I have several Studebaker‘s I am thinning the pack . Please ask questions or come and see the car thanks for your time. |
