1978 Pontiac Trans Am. Hurst Hatch T-tops. I bought this car never expecting to sell it, but sometimes life gets in the way. I was told the original owner bought this car and after a couple of years decided he wanted it red. I was told he took it back to the Pontiac dealership and had the color changed from silver to red. The cowl tag does indicate the original color was silver. The paint job was done well and there is little indication of the original silver color. I was told the mileage is is correct but have no paperwork to verify that it is. The car has the original engine and I don't believe it has been modified in any way. The exhaust is aftermarket with headers and true duals with an h-pipe that appears to be ceramic coated. The stereo is an aftermarket unit with CD player and jvc speakers in the rear deck and in the doors. It originally had a limited slip with 2:56 gears and a th350 transmission. I changed the rear to 3:42 gears and installed a th200-4r transmission with a B&M megashifter. I do have the original transmission with the vin stamped on it and the rear end that was in the car as well as the original shifter. I also installed aftermarket seats from Summit Racing. I have new door panels and seat covers and new seat foam for original style front seats. The original radio came with the car and will go to the next buyer. I also installed bolt in sub-frame connectors. The wheels are Year-One 17x9 Rallye II's with BFGoodrich G-Force Comp 2 tires in 275/40ZR17's and only have a few thousand miles on them. It also comes with the 15x8" snowflake wheels that came on it. It's a great car but not a flawless showcar. That's one of the things I liked about it most. I wasn't afraid to drive it. Please feel free to ask any questions. The price is firm, but if you don't want all the extra parts we can come to an arrangement. PAYMENT will be cash or wire transfer. Thanks for looking at my car, I know she'll make someone very happy. Thanks, John. |
