CAR DESCRIPTION FROM SELLER
We are selling this old school Packard Eight Series. This is a unique car with a three speed manual column shift transmission. It's not a show car, but rather a fun old car to drive. It even has an old school starting method. You must mash the clutch and then the accelerator to start the ignition. This car runs and drives well. It was partially restored by a previous owner, and a few parts are included. The car can be driven as is or fully restored. Mechanically, the engine runs smoothly. The radio lights up but doesn't work. As far as we know, everything else works. The body is solid, but does have a few little blemishes on the back around the license plate and bumper. Those can be repaired with minor body work. The interior rubber floor covering is peeling and needs to be replaced or covered with floor mats. The upholstery has some minor tears, and the wooden dashboard needs refinishing. It has been retrofitted with seat belts. A vent on the passenger side is loose and needs to be reattached. The mileage on this car is unknown and cannot be verified. The odometer reads roughly 68,000 miles, but we do not know if that is correct. We drove this car regularly until about six months ago, and it's the true old time experience. We are a Louisiana licensed automobile dealer. The buyer will receive a notarized bill of sale and title sent by certified mail. This car is being sold as is with no warranties of any kind. Our dealership never charges any document fees. We will be glad to answer any questions. You may text us at 318-267-9691 anytime or call us at the same number after 5:00 PM Central Time. (We work other jobs in addition to our cars.) We kindly ask for 48 hours notice prior to being picked up by you or the shipping company so that we can arrange for someone to be there since we are working out of state right now. Shipping or pick up is entirely the responsibility of the buyer. There aren't many Packards left out there, so happy bidding on this one.
