Up for auction we have this very solid 1965 Studebaker Cruiser. Originally an Arizona car (still has the Studebaker Drivers Club Southern Arizona Chapter sticker in the window) with very little rust and corrosion. Floorboards are rock solid as is the rest of the car. There has been some minor rust repair done at one time on lower wheel well inside door (see photo) and possibly front fender dog legs. The paint job is not the greatest and it is the wrong shade of white. Chrome is presentable and shines up pretty well. Tires are almost new and the “dog dish” hubcaps are new old stock. (have original full wheel covers which are included with the sale) The V8 motor’s performance has been improved by replacing the 2 barrel carburetor and intake with a new Edelbrock 4 barrel and intake. (the original carb and intake will be included with sale also as will the breather and valve covers). She purrs like a kitten and runs like a scared rabbit! The exhaust is new with a glass pack muffler that gives it a low “throaty rumble” that sounds awesome. She has manual brakes and steering but does have an automatic transmission. A hand choke has been added for easy starting. The interior is usable as is as you can see with the Mexican blankets for seat covers. The upholstery is very worn, stained and faded from the Arizona sun. Dash has a couple of small cracks and the headliner has been torn above the rear seat corner and the rest has some marks and stains but is not totally trashed. The sun visors are from a different car. Door panels are intact with a some damage to the carpeted portion. Carpet has been replaced. Drivers side kick panel is missing. This car has the very cool mirrored vanity that slides out of the glove compartment. All gauges work except the amp gauge. Radio just hums when turned on. Even the clock works when it wants to. All windows roll up and down and vents open and close as well. Heater hoses have been disconnected due to a heater core leak and fan does not work. I am sure I have forgotten some details so just ask and I will respond as soon as possible. She has been a very fun and dependable daily driver, however it is time for me to move on to a new project. On Aug-24-20 at 11:37:53 PDT, seller added the following information:Sorry the 1965 Indiana plate does not go with the car.
