About this vehicle This 1965 GMC 3500 is a modified vehicle with updates to the exterior, interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller's Notes awesome antique truck! Exterior It’s time to part with my cool creation. I only drive it 10-15 times a year, just want to get something more drivable. It is a big old truck that was repowered with a Cummins/ 47RE 2 years ago. It has ran flawlessly for those 2 years. It has huge tires, does not turn well, does not stop well but it goes fast in a straight line. The only gauge that doesn’t work is the fuel gauge (it has a 60 gallon freight liner tank in the bed) 1965 GMC 350 / Cummins reverse manual valve body. Truck is equipped with a 100K mile P7100 12 valve engine KDP tabbed 191 Delivery valves 120HP injectors HE351 turbo Head is o ringed and had a valve job Head studs Compete engine reseal - engine does not leak a drop of oil Mishimoto aluminum radiator Transmission 2WD 47RE Triple disc DPC torque converter Sonnax billet input shaft Sonnax servo Billet accumulator Additional clutches in overdrive and third gear clutch pack Reverse manual valve body 2 Derale 15860 coolers Rear differential/ driveshaft GM 14 bolt open diff 4.10 gear ratio Driveshaft specialist 5” aluminum custom driveshaft Other notes All structural rust has been repaired New heater core Retro sound radio New blower motor Super single tires Everything works except fuel gauge Speedo is off because no one makes a gear big enough for a 47RE to compensate for such large tires.
