1968 GTO convertible. This car and it's ORIGINAL drivetrain was all totally rebuilt back in 2001/2002 professionally by a restoration shop in Dayton, OH. It is a true, numbers matching 242 GTO convertible. The body was done at that time, and the original outer sheetmetal is still on the car along with the original floorpans. The color is not original. It is all base coat clear coat. The interior is all original to the car, even the carpet. The convertible top was replaced once a couple decades ago and has one small blemish in it over the driver's quarter window. It is a fully functional power operated top. The Hurst dual gate shifter is original to the car. The engine is original but was rebuilt in 2001. It was bored and new forged pistons installed along with a Aerodyne roller cam, Jackson gear drive, Holley 750, Hooker headers, ported heads, MSD ignition and an RPM intake. It was dyno'd at the time at 370 HP and 437 Ft Lbs torque. It runs extremely well. It also has full dual exhaust and several chromed accessories under the hood. The engine and drive train has less than 2000 miles on it since it was all rebuilt back in 2001. It has been to several shows locally and regionally, which is where the miles came from. It was stored in a climate controlled garage from 2006 until this spring. The car was upgraded to 4 wheel disc brakes and full air ride suspension from AccuAir. The compressor and valving is all in the trunk. It has ShockWave bags on the front. I switched it back to standard height front spnidles for the owner to correct drivability issues with the air ride. It now handles and drive like it is supposed to. It has some 2" drops on it which did not agree with the air ride. It has Boyd Coddington 17" wheels on it. The car was driven a couple years and then stored until this past spring. It has been driven a few times this summer and is now ready for the next chapter with a new owner. It's clean, straight and had a bunch of money dropped into it for the upgrades. I noticed the heater core is unhooked. I also noticed the needle is missing on the fuel gauge. Everything else works, even the key-in buzzer! As is, no tradesClear OH title. Shipping is buyer's responsibility$250 deposit due in 24 hours, balance in 7 days along with pickup.
