We have for sale this beautiful 1969 Buick Riviera. The car was painted earlier this year, the body is very straight. However, it’s not perfect, there are some small dents. The biggest one is on the driver side front fender, and it's only noticeable from certain angles. Also, there are a few hail dents on the hood and trunk, but they are pretty small. Other than some small imperfections in the paint the car looks great and gets lots of attention everywhere it goes. This car still has the original 430 V8 and transmission, they are believed to have been rebuilt at some point. However, we don’t have any paperwork from the previous owner to substantiate that claim but the car runs beautifully and shifts strong. It has a 3-inch exhaust with mufflers so it’s not obnoxious but the 430 still sounds absolutely menacing going down the road. Factory A/C car, it does not blow cold right now, but the compressor will cycle on and off and there is still some pressure in the system, it likely just needs to be recharged. Under the hood, all the power steering lines have been replaced. It’s got a new Quadrajet carburetor that was tuned by a local shop and the car starts every time on the first crank, it does not bog at all and the throttle response is great. We also installed a new in-tank fuel pump, replaced fuel lines, and replaced all the belts. The headlights work but they do not flip around into the grill on their own, we replumbed the entire vacuum headlight system with new line, and it looks like the vacuum storage tank inside the fender is leaking and the vacuum relay for the headlights isn’t working. The parts are available online and once they are replaced the headlights will work. Shocks and springs were replaced about a year ago as well. It’s got a mean stance and it’s not an uncomfortable ride like you would expect from a lowered car. The interior is about 90% complete, the seats were recently recovered, and it’s got a brand-new headliner. Underneath the carpet, it has brand new sound deadener so its surprisingly quiet on the inside while going down the road. The sail panels near the rear window are missing but all the trim is there, and the sail panels can be found online. We have extra vinyl that matches the rest of the interior that will be thrown in so if you replace the sail panels you can wrap the new ones to match the rest of the interior. The wheels it has on it now are American Racing wheels ($1500for the set), if they aren’t quite your style, we still have the original wheels are tires that will be included with the car. We have a huge amount of spare parts that will all be included. Lots of trim, interior parts, engine parts, badges, suspension parts, and a fitted car cover. This Riviera isn’t perfect, but it’s close. It looks great, it sounds great, and it runs like it’s 1969 again. It’s a great driver that’s 95% complete, you can take it to car shows on the weekends and then tinker with it after the show or just drive it and enjoy this piece of American history. |
