1955 Chevy Nomad 2 Door Wagon "Project Car" This is an Original 1955 Chevy Nomad with its original Vin Tag, Trim Tag & Clean Open Texas Title. All parts Shown and described in pictures are included in the sale. This car was pretty complete and owned by an elderly man who brought the car to a restoration shop where he planned to do a full restoration. ( I May have a Before Photo ) The shop completely disassembled the car and blasted the entire Body and Frame. He bought lots of new parts but his health stopped the process. I bought the car and all the parts but also have failed to do anything but store it, so now I'm putting up for sale publicly for the first time. Let me be perfectly clear, this is a completely disassembled project car that will need total restoration. this is not for the light hearted and is being sold "AS IS" condition. I will do my best to describe condition but I would strongly advise coming to physically see it for your self. The good news is since it was blasted there is nothing left to hide. Chassis was powder coated black and stock rear end reinstalled with new bushings and springs and body laid back on to make it more easily moved. Front suspension is not installed but car is fairly easily moved like a wheel barrel with 3 people. You will need at least a pick up truck and trailer to pick up all the parts and car, preferably an enclosed trailer. I will help with loading but shipping cost will be the responsibility of new owner. I can store for 4 weeks as long as I'm payed in full with in 7 days. There is no engine or transmission included. I know there is a lot of description here but I will try to describe photos and parts in the photos as best I can. The first 4 (#1-4) photos are of the main body. The 1/4 panels have rust through and some previous repairs (i was planning on replacing 1/4s now that full ones are available) the structure around side windows appears solid as is the rockers, firewall / cowl section. there is some rust around tail gate opening. Fenders, Hood, Valence, Inner Fenders and Radiator Support are solid but are just laying in place. The next 2 (#5 &6) Photos are of the Roof where there is rust through along drip rail edges and rear edge as well as dents and holes from previous roof rack. My body man suggested possibly using "Panel Bond" (used on newer vehicles that replaces welding) or to repair this or you will have to do some patchwork. The next 2 (#7&8) Photos are of the Floor Pans. The Main Front Section is in pretty solid shape for its age, the outer braces are still intact underneath there is a hole in tunnel where shifter was at some point. the rear section has rust throughout and will need replacement but is readily available. there is also some previous rust repair to inner wheel wells. Photos (#9 & 10) are of the Under Hood Area Where you can see a solid clean Firewall / Cowl Section and Powder Coated Front Frame Section, Under Car to see Rear Frame. The next 2 (#11&12) photos are the original Doors and Tail Gate. The Tail Gate is in surprisingly solid shape, but the Doors are heavily rusted at the bottoms and where the weather strip seals attach ( I was going to replace with new complete Doors now available ) Door hinges are still attached. The Next Photos (#13 & 14) is of the factory Cowl Trim Tag still attached. A picture of the Dash Area and inside Cowl Firewall area shows to be in very nice shape. Picture (#15) is of Wheel Tire Combo and shows it retains all 4 of its original 15 inch Steel Rims with correct retainers (nubs) for Original 4 Hubcaps that are dented and scratched, wheels are mounted on 4 Coker Wide White Wall Classic Tires that have never been driven on. I am sure it will need restoration to work again but seat it self is in solid shape and side covers are present. I hope i have described pictures in enough detail, if you have other questions please message me. This is a big project car but at least your not guessing at what's under the old paint. It will need a lot of work and parts but the majority of hard to find Nomad stuff that is usually missing is there. This car gives someone the chance to build one the way they want it. I will not sell parts separately. If you add up the parts alone you will find this is a very fair price and they just are not out there anymore. thanks for taking the time to look. 500.00 deposit is due immediately and balance with in seven days. Again Selling "AS IS" NO REFUNDS or RETURNS !!! Thanks for Looking. |
