Up for auction is my wifes very nice 1979 MGB. The car has well over $7,000 spent on her in the last 3000 miles and ready to be driven and enjoyed. Car has zero rust / rust repairs and no accidents. She also has the ultra rare air conditioning option so she's not your run of the mill MGB. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to making an offer. Air Conditioning: As you can see from the interior photos she sports the ultra rare air conditioning option. All interior parts are in place. Have the A/C compressor, idle arm and bracket boxed up in the trunk. A/C compressor and idle arm spin freely. Don't know what it will take to reinstate the system but it looks pretty straight forward to me. Have documentation where and when it was removed from the car. Mechanical's: The car runs and drives great and she is ready for the open road. Starts right up with no smoke or noises. Work just completed included the following: Complete tune up which including new points, spark plugs, oil change, new oil filter, new air filter and a new battery installed. Recent new radiator and new electric radiator auxiliary fan so no issues with over heating when stuck in city traffic . Also the carburetor was just balanced / tuned correctly and the car has great throttle response. She car shifts up / down and through all the gears with no issues or noises. The rear end is strong and makes no noises. The car handles great and sits on 4 matching like new radial tires. Other documented / Invoices ( totaling $6,109 in invoices ) in the last 3k miles include: Rebuilt carburetor, Complete new exhaust system ( whisper quite exhaust note ), new alternator, new fan belt, new distributor, new coil, new rear main seal, new oil pan gasket, new oil line, new water pump, new radiator, new coolant hoses, new coolant, new auxiliary radiator electric fan, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new rear brake pads, new rear brake wheel cylinders, new brake hoses, new front brake pads and a few other items. Don't find many with this much documented work just completed. Electrical's: This area is in excellent condition with the following items in working order. Headlights ( high & low beam ) work , wipers work, wiper washer motor works, front & rear turn signals work, front & rear running lights work, brake lights work, backup lights work, license plate lights work, dash gauge lights work, radio works, hazard switch works, trunk light works and blower fan works. Heck even the original clock works. Interior: Is in nice condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. Note the under dash air conditioning and A/C control panel Exterior: Nice driver quality car. The wheels where repainted and new chrome trim rings and MG logo center caps installed ( wrapped in like new quality radial tires ). The car sits evenly / squarely on the ground with no visible signs leaning or sagging. The rocker panels are rock solid / original and in very, very nice condition. All glass is original Triplex and are clear, cloud and scratch free. Newer headlights and chrome trim rings. She also sports the sought after chrome luggage rack. Underbody: The under body is in excellent condition as is the interior floors and frame of the car. This is a Zero rust / rust repair car. Soft Top: The soft top is in good / fair serviceable condition. She also comes with a new Tonneau / cockpit cover which cost $450 including installation / fitting. Trunk: The trunk is rock solid. Car does have a spare wheel / tire, original jack, lug wrench and top / cockpit cover support rails with original stowage bag. Also comes with owners manual, repair manual and restoration guide book.
